Delivery Director

Responsibilities
Led a globally distributed team of engineers, product managers, and project managers in the U.S., LATAM, and Poland delivering client software projects across multiple industries. Contributed hands-on to codebases across multiple languages, architected client solutions, and created initial application versions before facilitating team handoffs.

- Designed and delivered a distributed, cloud-native reporting platform for a Fortune 1000 presort mail logistics client serving 8,000 enterprise users with daily deployments

SUMO Heavy Industries

Responsibilities
Built a Philadelphia and New York City-based agency focused on creating scalable technology solutions to grow clients' businesses, covering technical product management, system architecture, and application planning.
- Led engineering and product delivery for a boutique agency, managing teams of 18–30 engineers and project managers across concurrent client engagements
- Owned all aspects of system architecture, technical product management, and application planning for client projects spanning eCommerce, payments, and distributed systems
- Designed and continuously improved a Kanban-based SDLC supporting agile metric measurement and delivery auditability, including a custom internal dashboard serving 15 agile teams across 9 product groups with ~20 statistical metrics and outlier detection based on standard deviation analysis
- Guided clients through PCI compliance implementations and ongoing compliance maintenance
Key Accomplishments
Architected and shipped solutions for clients ranging from Series A-E startups to enterprises with revenue of $3B+ and 14,000 employees, driving measurable business outcomes across every engagement. After building a loyal client base over 13 years, the agency was sold to ITX Corp, bringing clients along to provide expanded support through new skillsets.
- Led the 0-to-1 engineering build of Stadium Goods' platform, handing off to their internal team in early 2017; the company subsequently sold to Farfetch for $250M
- Executed a live migration of 5M+ orders, customers, invoices, shipments, and payment transactions out of a multi-store Magento installation with individual record-level validation and zero downtime, completed in approximately one week
- Consulted Pet360 through their acquisition by PetSmart, solving technical and business challenges to meet post-acquisition integration goals
- Managed a team building and maintaining Scala-based services for a cross-border eCommerce platform serving ~2M users, subsequently acquired by Global-ee
- Built a custom Spreedly payment orchestration integration for a gym equipment manufacturer ($200M–$500M revenue), supporting portable card tokens and real-time payment gateway switching
- Led the stabilization of the CitiBike iOS application and delivered a new Android application, each completed in approximately one month, addressing real-time sync, push notifications, testing coverage, and event analytics
- Successfully grew and sold the agency to ITX Corp after 13 years, bringing the full client portfolio into an expanded service offering
- Took over the Jira Ruby Gem when it had ~50K downloads which now has over 60M and is used in the core of GitLab
